From Italy to New York: our history in a nutshell ...
DM ITALIA is a modern, forward-thinking company specializing in interior solutions, known for its holistic approach to every project. Founded in Italy in the 1960s by Vincenzo Costanzo, who led the company with passion and precision until the 1990s, DM ITALIA was later entrusted to his son Davide and daughter-in-law Daniela. In 2017, the company expanded its horizons and made a strategic transition to New York, continuing its legacy on an international stage.
From the beginning, our core commitment has remained unchanged: delivering complete customer satisfaction. With more than 30 years of experience, we take pride in the exceptional quality of our products and the outstanding support we provide before, during, and after every purchase.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Daniela moved to Italy as a teenager, where she studied Business Administration. Driven by a deep passion for luxury design, she continued her studies and graduated as an Interior Designer from the Istituto Callegari.
While completing her education, she began working as an interior designer in her husband’s family-owned store. Thanks to her talent, she quickly advanced and was appointed Showroom Manager, a role she held until 2017. That same year, she returned to New York with her family, marking the start of a new chapter in her professional journey.
Daniela’s goal was to continue the work she had done in Italy. However, after living abroad for nearly 27 years and being unfamiliar with local interior design preferences and customs, she chose to gain experience in the U.S. market by working as a Senior Designer for Italian showrooms. In the meantime, four years ago, she launched her own company and, after an extensive search, she finally found and purchased her own showroom here in New York.

Born in Acireale, Italy, Davide was raised in the family business. From a young age, he spent time in the showroom, observing installers and watching his father create custom designs for clients. He often visited job sites and gradually developed strong, hands-on skills in furniture assembly.
After studying Business Administration and later graduating as an Interior Designer from the Istituto Callegari, Davide joined his father in managing the company, which had grown significantly during his youth. When his father retired, Davide took over the business, running it successfully with the support of his wife, Daniela, until 2017.
That year, the couple decided to move to New York to fulfill Daniela’s longtime wish of returning home. While Davide aimed to continue his work in design, he recognized the need to understand the American market better. He accepted a dual role as Project Manager and Senior Designer in an Italian showroom, gaining valuable insight and experience.
Four years ago, Davide and Daniela founded their own company. After an extensive search, they purchased and opened their own showroom in New York, where they continue to bring Italian design expertise to a new audience.
